Thailand Digital Arrival Card

Thailand Digital Arrival Card

As and from May 1st, 2025...all citizens entering Thailand must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card. (TDAC for short) This is a security measure being taken by the Thai Authorities, so that citizens can be traced quickly and easily if required. People crossing and entering the borders to the Kingdom of Thailand are required to complete this online form at least 3 days before arrival. So, whether people are arriving by Air, Land or Sea...this online electronic form must be completed.

Passport Control

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is a newly introduced digital system designed to modernize and streamline the immigration process for international visitors entering Thailand. Replacing the traditional paper arrival card, the TDAC allows travelers to submit their entry information electronically prior to arrival, either via an official website or a designated application. This initiative is part of the Thai government’s broader efforts to enhance efficiency, reduce congestion at immigration checkpoints, and improve the overall visitor experience. Travelers are required to provide standard entry details, such as passport information, flight number, accommodation address in Thailand, and the purpose of their visit. Once the digital form has been submitted, a confirmation email is generated which can be presented to immigration officers upon arrival. In many cases, the submitted information is electronically linked to the traveller’s passport, allowing for quicker processing at border control.

Details Required for TDAC

Holiday makers and travellers are required to provide standard personal information details, such as Name & Address, Contact Details,  Passport No, Flight Details Info, accommodation address in Thailand, the purpose of their visit and so on and on. Once the digital form has been submitted, a confirmation is generated which can be presented to the Thai immigration officers upon arrival. In many cases, the submitted information is electronically linked to the incoming traveller’s passport, allowing for a seamless & quicker processing at border and passport control checkpoints.

The TDAC form consists of 3 sections…

  • Personal Information,
  • Trip & Accommodation Info,
  • Health Declaration.

Ultimately, the TDAC reflects Thailand’s commitment to adopting to a more modern and digital-first solution in their tourism sector. It facilitates a smoother arrival experience for people and aligns with global standards for digital border processing. For tourists, who are planning their journey to the Thai Kingdom—whether to explore its cultural heritage, tropical landscapes, or sample their world-renowned cuisine—the TDAC represents a small but meaningful and secure improvement as to how they begin their Thai adventure.
